4. Cambodia

I've always wanted to go to Cambodia to see the ancient ruins and experience the jungle and the heat.

Ancient Ruins, now with Monks!
I would love to see the ruins of all the old temples, it's something I have wanted to do for a long time instead of going on a holiday to relax and lounge around a pool all day. I want to go out and see the world and enjoy it while I can, the only problem at the moment is money (and a degree) all getting in the way, but that's life.

For those of you that don't know, Cambodia is located between Vietnam and Thailand, two very popular tourist destinations that will likely feature later on in my blog posts, but for now you'll just have to make do with the fact that its has not only history and heritage on show, all of which are beautiful, but some of the best looking beaches around to enjoy while you are there too.

Just because I said I didn't want to lounge by a pool, doesn't mean I don't want to lounge by a beautiful beach.

Unfortunately, that's not me :(

1. Visit New York

I've been to America a few times, but always to Florida (the holiday state). It's a fantastic place to go, the weather is traditionally hot and humid, the beaches are amazing, the fish is incredible and the sights are just as good as well. But I've always wanted to visit New York because of the history it has, the hustle and bustle of every day life as well as seeing this transition from the park to the skyline:

Of course my stay there would have to be in some exquisite hotel and a large expense... But I shall worry about that when I get there!

I'm probably drawn in slightly more than I should by the way the city is portrayed in a lot of films, it's not something that is easily helped though given how much media we consume nowadays and how much we rely on it for a view of the world, but I don't mind so much, I've heard good things from friends and lots of people seem to go back there year after year, another positive I believe.

It's not just the skyline that I want to look at though, I would love to walk through Central Park, even if the park is massive and it might take a while, call a yellow cab from the 'sidewalk' and visit the Statue of Liberty. I guess this first entry on the bucket lists involves a few other minor choices as well, but I figured I would just round it all up into one seeing as it's all in the same location.

I found this brilliant picture of Central Park, it gives a great perspective of the grid layout that New York employs, and an idea of how big the park is:

Welcome Wlikommen Bienvenue Etc...

Thought I would start a blog not only as a way to remind myself of all the things I want to do in life, but to let others in on my own dreams and possibly share some of yours along the way?

I called it half full because it's a type of bucket list for me, and I want to be positive about it, hence the link to the half full/half empty phrase. I'm mostly a positive person and figured if I can't be positive about this, I simply shouldn't bother!

Layout may change frequently because I'm always changing things, apologies if it looks different every week.
